Meet at Izmir Port – Your Hotel or Airport Our guide will hold up a sign with your name on it. Arrival to Izmir airport, After breakfast in Izmir ,we drive to the Karatas quarter to see the Beth Israel Synagogue, in Ottoman-Victorian style. Next, take a ride on the Asansör, a 19th century hilltop funicular, After that Drive up to Kadifekale hill overlooking the city and the bay, to enjoy a coffee. After that we drive to Sardes , once the capital of the Lydian kingdom, where a large and prosperous Jewish community resided in its heyday as a Roman city. Visit the ruins, including the enormously rich Roman Synagogue. After lunch return to Izmir.
